We urge you to never be afraid to share your testimony with others. Your testimony can inspire and encourage others. Though it’s not the gospel, it can be used to point people to the gospel of Christ. Your testimony can be what God uses to draw someone to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s Word tells us to share our hope as a believer and to proclaim his deeds among the people. In 1 Peter 3:15-16, Peter the Apostle writes, “but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. Yet do this with gentleness and reverence, keeping a clear conscience, so that when you are accused, those who disparage your good conduct in Christ will be put to shame.”

Psalm 77:11-12 reads, “I will remember the Lord’s works; yes, I will remember your ancient wonders. I will reflect on all you have done and meditate on your actions.”

Psalm 105:1 reads, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples.”

Откровение 12:11 «Они победили его кровию Агнца и словом свидетельства своего, и не возлюбили души своей даже до смерти.»

Псалтирь 104:1 «Славьте Господа; призывайте имя Его; возвещайте в народах дела Его;»

Псалтирь 76:12-13 «Буду вспоминать о делах Господа; буду вспоминать о чудесах Твоих древних; буду вникать во все дела Твои, размышлять о великих Твоих деяниях.»

Unbelievers will look closely at the life of a Christian. You can have a great testimony with your lips, but you can lose your Christian testimony or drown out the power behind your testimony by your actions. Do your best to never give a reason for others to slander the name of Christ because of ungodly living. Always remember that this world is dark, but you are the light of the world. It’s not something that you are trying to be. If you have repented and put your faith in Christ, it’s who you are now!

Those in Christ have been made new with new desires and new affections for God’s Word. That does not mean sinless perfect. However, that does mean that there will be a difference between the actions and motives of a believer vs the actions and motives of the world. Use your life as a testimony and remember Ephesians 5:8, “Live as children of light.”
